The paintings are beautiful. I loved all of them, but particularly the ones of your cats! They look life-like!

Thank you so much Thalia. You are very kind. 9th to 17th January are the blogs about my cats, if you want to read about them, and there are photos of them on the first blog too.

Lovely pictures - I have been scouting around your blog this evening and am absorbed by your gardening life - which is odd for me as I am the worst and laziest gardener in the world.

Thanks for dropping by, Wendz, and for your kind comments. My blog isn't about my daily life in the garden, but about the story of how we created a garden for wildlife, starting sixteen years ago. It also includes anecdotes about people who have loomed large in my life and influenced me in one way or another.

These are superb. I would love to have this sort of artistic talent.

Thank you, Ruth. I was on rota duty today at an exhibition where three of my paintings were on display. But I only came home with two, because my Siberian tiger was bought. Lovely to know someone loved it enough to buy it and give it house room.

Your paintings are lovely.
I'll be back to visit your blog again soon.
I love water-color and would love to learn how.

Thank you, Becky, it is a great hobby when I'm not gardening.

I am so glad that I found your blog. Your paintings are lovely - the poppies, rose and snowdrops are my favourites. What a talent you have!!

Thank you, Kate for your gracious comments. I enjoy painting the flowers in the garden as well as birds and animals, especially wild cats (tigers, lions, cheetahs) and portraits of family and friends too.

I have to say, all three of your blogs are my new favorite blogs. What beautiful watercolors!

You definitely caught the personality of each cat too.

Thanks for posting these for all to see. Really lovely work.

Thank you very much, Monkey, for your encouraging words. I took up watercolour/pastel, pen and wash/ painting five years ago and silk painting last year, and I enjoy them very much. It's a great way to express feelings about the things I'm passionate about.

Wildlife Gardener,

Congratulations on your "thinking blogger" award! That's wonderful....

Thank you for your kind words about my painting, "Flower Songs."

I like your paintings, as well, especially the butterfly, poppies, and the pebbles. I have painted and photographed rocks and pebbles, myself. I love rocks, also geodes and crystals. But even the plain garden variety appeal to me--it's almost as if they have a special energy all their own, that I can feel. They give me a feeling of strength and permanence, being one of the few enduring things in our world.

I think you and I might share a deep love for nature. Enjoy your art and your garden!

Thank you so much for your very kind words, Lynda. I do love everything in nature, like you. I feel a passion for it and respond by painting the things I love.
