Oh I love the detail you got in this watercolor, and the simplicity of color. Nice....and thanks for your sweet comments on my paintings.

Don't you love "clicking" on the watercolors to see the detail up close and personal...I just did, and loved it!!

Welcome once again, Wanda. lovely to see you again. You are quite correct when you say 'simplicity of colour' as it was a 'reduced palette' painting.

I, too, love to enlarge the paintings on your blog and those of other bloggers, just to get 'up close and personal' and see the brushstrokes. Thank you for the compliments...I'm positively purring :)

Oooh... I didn't realize that you were a painter, too. This painting of teasel is just Lovely! I'll have to make it a point to visit both your garden blog and your painting blog from now on.

Good morning to you, blackswamp_girl, and a warm welcome to my painting blog. I'm glad you like the teasels. They were fun to paint :)

I always thought doing watercolors would be wonderful until I tried doing it. The preparation and planning of a picture was too much work for a person with limited attention span ;) You do it wonderfully.

Welcome, ki, to my painting blog. Thank you for your very kind compliments :)

Watercolour is a very challenging medium, and, often, it's 'the happy accident' which turns out to be the best painting!

This one, of the teasels, was fun to do. I even used glitter on the sunny side of the teasels, to represent frost...and it works!

I also love this painting for many reasons. To keep it short, it works for me!
