You are so good for my ego, Wanda :) I had fun painting him. I always start with the eyes, and he had to look wise and soulful, somehow :)

I had to come back a look again. I so love Him, and loved the movie of course. He stands for all I believe in!! Aslan! Yes! Interesting, when I painted my wolf, I started with the eyes and he watched me through the whole painting.

Good morning, Ruth, and a warm welcome to you again. thank you for saying Aslan's majestic. I hoped he would be :)

I feel very honoured you should return to look at Aslan again, dear Wanda. What a compliment to me, and I thank you very much.

I loved the Narnia stories, and when i used to read them to my schoolchildren, I used to cry with them, at the part where Aslan dies...and rejoice with them when he returns to life!

It was such a life-enhancing story for them, beautifully written by CS Lewis, of course. I always wanted to paint Aslan one day.

All life on earth is precious, and we are supposed to be the stewards of the earth. It makes me so sad when humankind spoils the paradise we were all given to share... with other people and all the animal kingdom too.

Hi, I'm not bugging you today for a new painting...I just want to know you are OK and taking a time off from blogging!!!
You are missed.

Hello, again, dear Wanda! Thank you for asking for me. That's so sweet of you :) We are just back from a three week trip to China. So the next painting is just for you :)

Unfortunately we had sad news on our return, which you can read about in my main blog.

Hello, dear Sandy! Lovely to have your company again. The Narnia stories are easy to read and very heartwarming, regardless of the age of the reader. So, I would encourage you to go ahead. Thank you for the compliment :)

Your paintings are beautiful! Aslan here is full of majesty and wisdom. As you know we named our cat Aslan - cos he is so handsome.
We named him Aslan cos it means 'lion' in Turkish :) I prepare a post about that handsome cat of ours :)
greetings,
