They were standing on a large plot of land, full of pernicious weeds - a corner of a farmer's field, in fact. Then we saw the "For Sale" sign. Hi Wg...ow my goodness, simply gorgeous, I love the silk being your canvas. Was painting on silk difficult, it really looks as if it is?? Thanks for telling me you have a new painting up.

I have only done three paintings on silk so far. If you scroll back you will find a seahorse and a Tiffany poppy...and this is my third attempt.
I'm still a beginner, really, at the stage of finding it difficult to put on the gutta properly without getting gaps through which the paint will bleed if I've got it wrong!
It is good fun though and I'm trying to get back to it after a gap of three years. I've now joined a really interesting group of ladies who are very encouraging...so I hope to improve with time :)
I tried silk painting some years ago and it was fun.(I remember I painted a picture of a horse and a scrunchie for my hair).
