Hello, Sheila. Thank you for your very encouraging words. This drawing was of a girl who came to sit for us at the art clas I attended a few years ago. It was just before Christmas, and when she closed her eyes and looked down, with that velvet scarf draped around her head, I thought she had an air of purity and innocence, and so, before I gave her the finished portrait, I scanned the drawing and made copies to send out as Christmas cards to all my friends. I called it Madonna.
